Meet David.

David Edkins | Founder of the Edkins Group

Background |
David started his career working in Hewlett-Packard finance at the age of 17. Over the course of twelve years, he became a territory turnaround specialist in their highly talented HP Service management consultancy - working with Fortune 500 CXOs to relieve anxiety and grow their business. Desiring a change, he left HP to lease, buy and sell commercial office properties. During this time, he created an online commercial wants / needs marketplace that grew to encompass over ten thousand members across the country. He then set his sights again to technology - this time small business technology via a product called managed services. You may have heard of this - where businesses pay a flat rate every month to manage their network. He realized the future wasn't in supporting 'hardware', but in helping them understand and implement cloud based systems to manage their business more efficiently. David is naturally 80% sales and 20% technical - however, he typically flips it on its head each day to help develop simple, yet elegant, solutions to help business owners succeed. |
For years David only focused on implementing Salesforce. Although he was a partner of Zoho, Zoho wasn't quite up to par with Salesforce. It was almost as if a business owner couldn't afford Salesforce, they should start with Zoho until they 'grew up' to afford it.
It is very different now. Zoho is the dark horse. Salesforce is a public company that is growing primarily through acquisition not innovative design - this means their product offering does not get any cheaper and the acquisitions lead to a bolt-on feel. The pricing has left many small businesses looking for alternatives. Conversely Zoho is a privately held debt free company. Its product offering of over 45+ products / apps was borne out of their own necessity and leads to the usefulness of small businesses. They constantly improve their products through tireless internal research and development. They use their products themselves. Novel. At this point, there is no reason to look at specializing in any other platform than Zoho ONE. It is vast, is highly configurable yet easy to start using. |

Engagement Options |
David likes to be easy to work with.
Working solely with small businesses, he understands how to respect budgets and cash-flow. He doesn't look to maximize billable hours - rather, he'd prefer to see you get on your feet as quickly as possible and leverage his expertise as needed moving forward. There are a couple of ways to engage. Most start with a nine hour allocation of time that is at a very palatable price. Is it priced as if he was working in India? No. Is it priced fairly for the value you receive? Definite yes. Some start with the allocation of time and decide to reserve another allocation as the first is exhausted, others opt for a small monthly program that allows for ongoing personalized guidance and advisory. |
